Bats control

Colonies roosting in roofs and attics, with droppings (guano), smell and noise at dusk. Bats are excluded humanely and entry points sealed.

Signs you have bats

  • Scratching and squeaking in the roof at dusk and dawn
  • Bats flying out from under the eaves at sunset
  • Guano droppings accumulating on walls and ground below entry points
  • A strong ammonia smell in the ceiling space

How we treat bats

We locate every entry point, install one-way exclusion so bats leave but cannot return, then seal the roof once the colony is out. Guano is cleaned and the space sanitised. Blocking exits while bats are inside is never done - it traps them and makes the smell far worse.

Before we arrive

  • Watch the roof at dusk to spot where bats exit - it helps the survey
  • Keep out of ceiling spaces contaminated with guano
  • Do not seal holes before the exclusion is set

Exclusion is season-sensitive. If there is a maternity colony, young bats cannot fly - we schedule exclusion so no bats are sealed inside.
