Bees control
Swarms and established colonies in roofs, walls and trees. Bees are valuable pollinators - we remove and relocate colonies where it is safe to do so.
Signs you have bees
- A sudden swarm clustered on a tree, fence or wall
- Steady bee traffic in and out of a hole in the roof or wall
- Buzzing inside a wall or ceiling cavity
- Honey stains or a sweet smell near the entry point
How we treat bees
Where the colony is accessible we work with beekeepers to remove and relocate it rather than destroying it. Where a colony inside a structure cannot be safely relocated, we treat it humanely and remove comb to prevent secondary infestations and honey damage to the building.
Before we arrive
- Keep people and pets away from the swarm or entry point
- Do not spray or block the entrance - a trapped colony becomes aggressive
- Note how long the colony has been present - older colonies have more comb to remove
A resting swarm that arrived today may leave on its own within a day. A colony established inside a roof or wall will not - call before the comb grows.
