Snakes control
Snakes in compounds, gardens and buildings - most are harmless, but removal should never be attempted without training.
Signs you have snakes
- A sighting of the snake itself, usually near water, woodpiles or dense vegetation
- Shed skins along walls or in stores
- Tracks in dust or soil
- A sudden drop in the frog or rodent population around the property
How we treat snakes
Our team captures and removes snakes humanely and relocates them away from habitation. We then inspect the compound for what attracted it - rodents, dense ground cover, water features and gaps under gates - and advise on proofing so the next snake passes by instead of settling.
Before we arrive
- Keep a safe distance and keep an eye on where it goes if it is safe to do so
- Keep children and pets indoors until it is removed
- Do not attempt to kill or handle it - most bites happen during capture attempts
If someone is bitten, note the snake's appearance from a safe distance and get to a hospital immediately - do not waste time trying to catch it.
